Join our Team

Our team has varied in size over the 5 years we have been around. The team as of March 2024 currently consists of approximately 10 students. 2023 was our most successful year yet and having more members will only help us improve.

During the build season, starting in early January we meet on weekends until our March competition in Sydney. We continue to meet less frequently through other parts of the year to prepare for additional competitions, make improvements to our robot, and learn new skills. 

We’re all chill and always welcome new members who are at all interested in these categories (not limited to):

• Mechanical - Assembling our robots and fabricating the necessary parts, using drills, lathes, CNC routers, rivet guns and more. 

• Programming - Writing and fine-tuning code, designing autonomous robot paths

• CAD - Creating 3D models of components and robots to fabricate. 

• Media - Recording videos, editing videos, taking photos and marketing

• Prototyping - Using your imagination to create components

• Woodwork - Producing large field elements for each year’s challenge

• Sponsorships - Contacting local companies for sponsorships

• Contributing to IB CAS hours, and potentially a CAS project.
